Caldas da Rainha I - A good walk this weekend

This weekend J and I went to Caldas da Rainha, it was a greyish-mildly-warm day and we walked in the city centre heading to the farmer's market that takes place each Saturday. We bought 6 kilos of wonderful fruit (this evening I made a pear + peach + cinnamon pie) and just before coming back home we stopped by this town's famous ceramic factory "Fabrica Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro" were we bough (on sale!) two beautiful high plates, to display cakes!

Somewhere only we know II

Today I remembered this place I used to go, a long long time ago. Up north, hot summers, harvest time now.

 * The photos were taken by J and me (a while ago) in one of our last visits.

A colorful day

1 - Icy juices sold on the street, made me wonder what goes in that stuff to get such colours?
2 - Free bowling on the streets of Nazaré, just ask for the ball in the nearest coffeeshop
3 - Making card boxes?
4 - Today's special: beetroot, ginger and apple juice. Natural colour!
5, 6, 7 - My niece's things all over the place look like unusual 'art instalations' in unexpected places
8 - Late breakfast: mint tea, toast and strawberry jam
9 - "Bumba meu boi", a traditional brazilian piece made of clay (mending broken bits)
10 - Folding beautiful old towels...
11 - ... and napkins...
12 - ... because 'some cat' managed to make a mess out of a tidy closet!
13, 14 - Green days should come more often
