1 - a breathtaking sunset on the beach at Foz do Arelho

3 - recently washed fur with shampoo for long haired cats

7 - a walk downtown passing by my favorite florist

A second home

Trying to escape the umbearable heat wave taking over Lisbon, we escaped to the west. Always fresher and quieter. Just what we needed!

I need more hours in my days to do things I like to do (anyone familiar with that feeling?)

M's photoshoot

M was bored because her sis was sleeping over at a friend's and she loves being photographed so... that's what we did, trying out my new camera.

Inspiration: the best thing I read today... "Awareness"

If I am aware, each moment is an experience of membership. Unaware, I might not notice the hawk, now circling low outside my window. But if I let it arc into my awareness, the hawk and I are suspended together in a fleeting, fragile moment. When it dives and disappears, I turn to the north. A flock of small birds crests the cypress hedgerow behind the house. The slender green branches at the top nod slightly. The unmown hay below is still.

My new toy

 Learning how to use my latest tool. I expect we will be very good friends in the future.

 

Before & after... A bath!

This cat was in desperate need of a bath (little did she know),    

She wasn't too happy about it,

But in the end she enjoyed the refreshing feeling of a wet fur coat (I think)!

Keep(ing) it simple

Yesterday I sat next to a pile of small stones and made a circle.

Today, while I waited for the bus, I noticed the streets had a yellow tapestry.

To see and to look are two different things :-)

Summer in the city

High temperatures arrived abruptly. The sidewalks and buildings emanate heat, even in the cool evenings. Summer has arrived. Lemonade is in order :-)
