Tiles and Tools

Gathering more inspiration from old tiles. Most of them cover the walls of crumbling buildings in the historic part of the city.

Lovely vintage pieces in a tiny shop downtown. Window shopping walk last weekend.

Instants I

1 - The confy chair of a street vendor in the book market downtown.

2 -  A glimpse of blue sky over our heads.

3 - Attention caught by an interesting photo. Cool place.

5 - Cool cat owner and her funky cat.

6 - Overcrowded electrical wires, full of pigeons sitting side by side. As they should.

Late brunch in a lovely place

A lazy morning was the best excuse to go out for brunch. We tried a new place, in a lovely and quiet neighbourhood called Praca das Flores (literally 'the flowers square'). Afterwards we walked towards the downtown area, always choosing unknown streets. Found really lovely places. More photos of this walk on a next post. Have a great Easter everyone!

Urban interventions

It is possible to find beauty everywhere.

Get a light ***

Odd bits: unusual random details I recently noticed in my walks:

*** the phrase on the window, on the first photo, reminds me of a poem I really really like:

"When you walk to the edge of all the light you have and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, you must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for you to stand upon or you will be taught to fly.”― Patrick Overton, The leaning tree
